Apart from that, I still continue to obsess over pacific DVD. Today I again ended up rewatching almost everything in the first disc, starting from "Gomen ne Juliet", and last night before going to bed I rewatched both the pacific doc and the Taiwan doc :)...

My conscious mind wants to write Tsuba/Shige (hee, I actually want to write again :)) (based on this and the two recent Shokuras), but my unconscious isn't agreeing. I just can't picture it :/ (Yes, I picture things before writing anything. I see pictures while reading, too).

Maybe something angsty and one-sided... From Shige POV, while watching Tsuba's show: I can never be that good.... :) Or a lust to photograph Tsuba in motion...

Why yes, I am trying to catch up on dramas today :)...

I have a big girl-crush on Aoi Yuu, she's just so pretty!!!

I just finished watching through the NEWS pacific DVD. I loved the concert part on Disc 1 and the documentaries on Disc 2 were fun (though I don't think they were quite as good as those on Never Ending Wonderful Story). Still, lots of good and fun moments and plenty of stuff for rewatching :).

I can already predict some moments that will spawn animated gifs that will be all over the net :D...

Longer commentary to follow, since I actually took notes while watching Disc 1 (I'm such a geek :)).

I already totally squeed about this to allbloomedout on MSN, so I suspect the end commentary will be slightly more sedate :)...

P.S. I totally love that fountain thing!!! Gorgeous!!!

It came, it came, it came!!!!! I has pacific DVD (or NEWS Concert Tour pacific 2007-2008 - The First Tokyo Dome Concert -)!!!! I was hoping it would get here soon, but I wasn't really expecting that it would arrive in ONE DAY! And that's with normal Air Mail shipping, not EMS...

I am so shipping Shiori/Naruse, even though it will never work :/. I don't care if it's right or wrong, but I know it'll only turn into tears later on :P.

I'm suddenly thinking of maybe trying to write Tsubasa/Shige (advice for solo show?), (more) Tsubasa/Yamapi, or Tsubasa/anyone-but-not-Takki. Dancing lessons could always lead to other things :D...

Everybody always writes him with Takki and nobody else, so I think there is plenty of room for other pairings...

I guess I'm going to rewatch Tsubasa's "Do Me Crazy" performance from last Sunday's Shounen Club quite a few times because it's just that good. And the fan report from his World's Wing Premium just made me wish even more that there would be a DVD release of it!

I just read several fic prompts for T&T fic and came to the conclusion that I just couldn't write Takitsuba. Then I started thinking about the fics I've written and came to the conclusion that all of it has been cross-group fiction. I've never written anything where the two people are in the same group.

I guess it's some kind of a visceral reation to making it seem "too real" or something like that. To me, fanfic is total fantasy land and I never take the fanfic pairings for real. I can read whatever pairings there are and even like reading fics with pairings where I don't actually like the other half of the pairing in "real life". I prefer their fictional counterparts, weird as it sounds :P...

Domoto Tsuyoshi's new detective drama, 33 Minute Detective, is totally stupid and silly, but also quite funny in it's stupidity :).

Code Blue 3-4

This drama is pretty similar to shows like E.R., but it still manages to work in it's on genre. Aragaki Yui's character has been pretty forgettable, "the funny guy" suddenly got a lot more complex, Yamapi's Dr. Aizawa appears totally cold and heartless, but isn't really (just check out how he handled the situation with Hiyama's, i.e. "the funny guy", mother...), and Toda Erika is just good.

I've always liked her, but I know some people who dislike her. Still, this far, she has clearly been the best actor of the young "stars" in this drama. Makes me look forward to Ryusei no Kizuna even more (Ryo, Nino, and Erika)...

I wish this bloody flu that has now developed into bronchitis would go away already :P. I hate being ill!

I've been working on this post every now and then for about a month now, but I think the list of books to comment on has just grown too massive :P. I guess I'll just do abbreviated entries on most of this stuff...

At the moment, I'm rereading LMB's first Sharing Knife book in preparation to reading books 2 & 3, and savouring Vera Nazarian's short stories in the collection Salt of the Air. I've actually read at least some of these stories through Fictionwise or various anthologies (Sword & Sorceress) before this, but it's great to have them all collected into one book with some original stories as well.

I've just spent several hours in the hospital, because the muscles on my right side had been pretty sore and cramped for a few days from all the coughing I'd done, and this afternoon it got so bad that I was almost crying from the pain :P.

I'm currently pretty much doped to the gills (Wheeee!) with muscle relaxants and various strong painkillers, but on the positive side, my nose seems to have cleared and I'm not coughing so much anymore...

I think I'll eat a bit of something and then go to bed because the meds are making me feel really tired.

The DBSK/TVXQ/Tohoshinki (whatever their name) song that is the main theme for The Legend is just too earwormy :P. Even though I still think it's totally sappy k-pop...

Can anyone recommend any other songs by them? I might be interested in checking them out.

Now to watch some more Legend...

Alan Kuo's "Ling (Zero) is still the best drama theme song evah! And now I'm tempted to rewatch the drama for the umpteenth time...

I very much hope the story of a Japanese version with Horikita Maki and Akanishi Jin turns out to be just a rumour. Maki might be okay, but IMO Jin can't act to save his life. He might fit lookswise, but when it comes to acting... No way!!!

I think I'll go to the health care centre tomorrow morning and ask for some more sick leave (I already got 3 days off), since the nasty flu still hasn't gone away :P.

I hate having a flu in the summer! The warm weather just makes the hot and cold waves from the elevated body temperature feel even more annoying than they would be in cold weather, and having your nose completely stuffed is always annoying, whatever kind of weather it is...
